1. Service description

Price Pilot is a grocery price comparison service for Australian supermarkets. We collect publicly available pricing data from retailer websites, including Coles, Woolworths, Drakes, Foodland, and Aldi, and present it in a way that helps you find the best deals.

The Service includes price tracking, price history charts, deal alerts, cross-store comparisons, and wishlist notifications. Price Pilot is an informational tool only - we do not sell groceries, process payments, or facilitate purchases.

2. Price accuracy and disclaimers

Prices displayed on Price Pilot are collected from publicly available sources and may be delayed or inaccurate. We scan retailer websites regularly, but prices can change at any time. A price shown on Price Pilot may not reflect the current in-store or online price at a retailer.

We make no guarantee that prices shown are current, accurate, or complete. Price Pilot should be used as a guide, not as a definitive source of pricing. You should always verify prices directly on the retailer's website or in-store before making purchasing decisions.

Features such as discount percentages, rarity ratings, and deal classifications are calculated based on available data and may not perfectly reflect the true discount or value of an offer.

Price Pilot does not claim to cover every product or every retailer. Our coverage varies by store and category, and some products or promotions may not appear on the Service.

3. User accounts and responsibilities

To access certain features (such as wishlists and email alerts), you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent.
• Provide a valid email address.
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for commercial scraping, data extraction, or automated bulk access.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access restrictions, or security measures.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service beyond normal browser usage.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.

By creating an account and opting into email alerts, you provide express consent to receive commercial electronic messages from Price Pilot in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You may withdraw this consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or through your account settings.

4. Intellectual property

The raw price data displayed on Price Pilot is sourced from publicly available retailer websites and belongs to the respective retailers. We do not claim ownership of retailer pricing data.

However, Price Pilot's analysis, presentation, and derived features - including price history charts, deal intelligence, rarity ratings, discount calculations, and the software powering the Service - are our intellectual property.

You are welcome to share individual deal information (for example, telling a friend about a product on special). You may not bulk-export, systematically copy, or redistribute Price Pilot's data, analysis, or features without written permission.

5. Retailer relationships

Price Pilot is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer, including Coles, Woolworths, Drakes, Foodland, or Aldi. All retailer names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only.

We respect retailers' rights to control access to their websites. If you are a retailer representative and wish for us to stop accessing your publicly available pricing data, please contact us at legal@pricepilotdeals.com.au. We will acknowledge your request within 7 business days and take reasonable steps to comply promptly.

6. Third-party links

Price Pilot provides links to retailer websites so you can verify prices or view product details directly. These links are provided for your convenience only.

We do not control the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites. Linking to an external site does not imply endorsement of, or responsibility for, its content, products, or services. Your use of third-party websites is subject to those sites' own terms and conditions.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Price Pilot available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. Price scanning frequency may vary by retailer depending on technical constraints and retailer cooperation.

8. Limitation of liability

Price Pilot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, losses arising from purchasing decisions made based on pricing data displayed on Price Pilot.

Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms limits or excludes any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

9. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including accounts used for automated data extraction, abusive behaviour, or attempts to circumvent security measures.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at support@pricepilotdeals.com.au. Upon deletion, your personal data (email, wishlist, preferences) will be removed. Anonymised, aggregated historical pricing data is not affected by account deletion, as it is not linked to individual users.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the Service after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should stop using the Service and request account deletion.

11. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed from these terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Price Pilot regarding your use of the Service. They supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter of these terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of South Australia.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at legal@pricepilotdeals.com.au to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter after receiving your written notice.

14. Accessibility

We are committed to making Price Pilot accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.
